Alright, so this is the base I've been making for who knows how long at this point. After months of play-testing, rearranging, and editing, I can finally say that I've made a legit farming layout for TH7. Usually getting a steady streak of wins in the Gold League, usually staying in it without a real attack for days.I enjoy making creative bases that are viable and good and when this one got the spot #1 in CoC builder under the name, I decided to take it to the next level. After more tweaking and testing the base entered its final stage.The First Look1) For advanced TH7, when elixir fueled upgrades are finished.2) For beginner TH7s, both as seen from the adversary's window.Much like the One Ring, this layout is impervious to damage! The name of the design was chosen as the outer walls resemble a ring. In addition, similarly to the One Ring, this halo is full of tricks.
Hidden traps protect important buildings and a tight design makes those who underestimate it to always end up getting shredded by the powerful forces that lur k inside the ring.If you look at the base you'll notice that funneling is nowhere to be found. The reason is I found that there are not enough walls at TH7 for a proper funnel, as the funnel will tend to lead towards the core, no matter how you structure it or in the worst case it will make you have less compartments surrounding storages and important defensesBroken in Shards. BAM (Barbarian, Archer, Minion) & BAG (Barbarian, Archer, Goblin)The number 1 deterrent to BAM and BAG strategies is activeness by the means of empty mines and collectors as these armies main goal is to loot filled collectors from abandoned bases. All the collectors are covered by air targeting defenses to avoid the infamous 1 minion leech. Out of frustration when you see it in the replay. On a serious note to break to both ADs compartments you need 12 Wall Breakers minimum. No funnels do make me Giant weak, nevertheless I compensate by having close point defenses and Spring Traps in the way to Mortars.ALL out DragonMaxed and semi-centralized AD do wonders against the hatchlings of Smaug. I honestly have never been attacked by such armies (even in Gold 1,) perhaps due to good AD placement and the fact these armies are expensive.
Bringing the Shards TogetherIn conclusion, this is the best setup I have built for TH7, especially considering the amount of time and lack of walls it took me to create it. I urge you all to use it for yourself and see which arrangement work the best for you. I am finished with funnels for this level. I like the intimidation reference.coughs signature., and the symmetry helps, but mortar placement is somewhat weak towards the NW side.You are very much limited at TH 7, but you're wall cushion around your gold can be brought down by four WBs. Overall very nice design though.Don't take this as saying it's ineffective, it's one of the better TH7 base designs.BTW I'm running all drags for DE, so if I see you, I'll be sure to hit you for the sake of science! Nice write up and concept behind the base, mate.Love how you test and run it first, before posting a thread like this.Professionalism, i like that.Base wise, nice concept, love the segmentation of the resource as well.Only gripe is the mortar and wiz clustering at the bottom right, which is kinda weird, cause the resource are bias top left, due to the position of the DE.And with regards to your writing, potential ping's successor?Considering ping is kinda mia now due to this rl committments.Looking forward to more bases and th8/th9 designs from you mateCheers!-Jun. A very well done to you Phil, I think this is one of the most thought out TH7 base design threads I have ever seen, you thought of everything. Nearly every base I've seen recently has a few unstaggered junctions but you have done yourself proud. I don't know what it is with layout names these days, lol, seems like you have a whole paragraph dedicated to itMy one concern is the right wizard tower, being so close to the edge it could be taken out with a few archers. Since you have those purple balls filled to the brim I suggest swapping them with the wizard towers.Fantastic job though, I am still looking intently for some unstaggered junctions but I see none.
